The basics

When is it?

Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 March 2027. Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.

Where is it?

Lucas County Recreation Center, Hall I — 2901 Key St, Maumee, Ohio 43537, just outside Toledo. One hall, 22,645 square feet, 21-foot ceilings, 10-foot aisles, overhead-door load-in. Directions.

What kind of show is this?

A curated horror convention — 83 hand-selected vendors across a single hall. Horror art, dark fashion, macabre collectibles and dark illustration, alongside the oddities the name promises: taxidermy, wet specimens, occult curiosities and antique medical instruments. It is not a flea market and it is not a celebrity autograph convention.

Is this the first one?

Yes. March 2027 is the first Black Swamp Horror & Oddities. The venue is confirmed and vendor applications are open.

Tickets

How much are tickets?

Not decided yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. Nothing is on sale.

When do they go on sale?

Not announced. When we set a date we will announce the date before the sale, so nobody has to sit refreshing a page. Join the list and you will hear first.

Vending

What does a booth cost and what comes with it?

A 10×10 booth starts at $150 and includes both days, one table, two chairs, and Friday load-in access. Electricity and extra tables and chairs are available as add-ons.

How many booths are there?

83, in one hall. The count claimed so far is published on the home page and updated as applications are accepted.

How do I apply, and how are vendors chosen?

Through the application. Every booth is reviewed for quality and fit — the show is curated, which is the entire point of it, and that means not every application is accepted.

Age & content

Can I bring my kids?

Yes. All ages are welcome and there is no minimum age.

Is it suitable for them?

That is your call, and you should make it knowing what is on the floor. This is a horror convention: horror imagery, nude art, wet specimens and adult themes are part of the show, not an accident of it. We would rather tell you here than at the door.

Conduct

What are the rules?

We have a full code of conduct and anti-harassment policy, including reporting procedures and emergency contacts. It applies to everyone at the event without exception — vendors, attendees, volunteers, staff, guests and press.

Can I photograph people?

Ask first. You must have permission before photographing or touching any attendee, artist or model. This is in the code of conduct and it is enforced.

Not answered yet

Deliberately listed rather than left blank, so you know they are coming and not hidden: ticket prices and tiers, parking and accessibility details, food and drink, the bag and prop policy, hotel information, the floor plan, and guest and programming announcements.
